In the recent past there have been at least two attempts to organize an LGBT Community Center (or “Diversity Center”) in Monterey County. LGBTMontereyCounty.com is wholly dedicated to providing Monterey County’s LGBT Community with relevant resources and event listings to enhance the quality of life and provide greater opportunity and access to social networking in Monterey County and the central coast of California; we would like to better understand the wants and needs of the community.

Well, after several months of painstaking labor and sleepless nights hard at work developing the LGBTMontereyCounty.com website, Network Solutions was able to bring our site to its knees through carelessly failing to protect its Unix servers from attack. After much thought about how to go about recovering from that disaster we decided that the best thing to do was to switch to a different hosting service and start over. So that’s what we did… kinda!
